Time has been passing so slowly lately, last Sunday feels like a year ago! I’m not sure what to make of it, but nevertheless, another week, another set of slays.
- Hard Boiled Eggs
- Grapefruit
- POP Pilates
- Neighborhood Cats
- Giving Presentations at Work
Slay #1: Hard Boiled Eggs
The Internet is so confusing on the number of eggs I can safely eat in a day. This article says it doesn’t matter, meanwhile Cleveland says I probably should only be eating 3 eggs a week. Sigh… I probably need to cut back, 10 eggs a week is not sustainable for my poor arteries if Cleveland has anything to say about it, but I can’t help it! Nothing beats the taste of a fresh hard boiled egg. Except maybe Slay #2.
Slay #2: Grapefruit
Glorious grapefruit was the universe’s personal gift to me this week. I’m not sure why I haven’t been eating as much grapefruit this winter/spring, but the bag I saw at Trader Joe’s was destined for my basket, and I ate one a day until it was finished (I consume my favorite foods fast and furiously). They were perfectly sweet and fragrant (I have never subscribed to sprinkling sugar on grapefruit, I think it’s blasphemous and never necessary). Also worth noting is using a grapefruit spoon, which has been a game changer for my eating experience.
Slay #3: POP Pilates
I love Cassey’s form of Pilates most because she has so many free YouTube videos that make it so easy for everyone to join in. Everything she teaches is killer, especially her arm exercises. POP Pilates instructors are also the best! I’ve only been to one so far but the experience and energy in class is always so positive.
Slay #4: Neighborhood Cats
Outdoor cats are worthy of a shout-out because I always look forward to seeing them and they make the neighborhood a better place. 🙂
Slay #5: Giving Presentations at Work
Corporate girlies RISE!!! If you are ever in a position where you can present a project you completed to a group at work, I highly recommend it. Make your work (and worth) known!!
Until next week!
