Slay #1: The Masterpiece I Found at Goodwill
Isn’t she a beauty? I found this print hanging around at the back of the store the other day and knew she belonged in my home art collection (full of other GW finds… I’ll have to post a gallery tour one day). I did some research and found that this is an artistic depiction of Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer’s house in Nuremberg, Germany. It is now a museum open to the public, dedicated to showing Dürer’s works. The timber framed house is what first caught my eye, then the level of detail of the original drawing (hard to tell from the photo, I’ll admit). It is a dream of mine to own a home one day that looks like a half-timbered house straight out of a fairytale. And if it doesn’t happen for me, at least I’ll have this print and can pretend I live in one.
Slay #2: Crew
This movie SLAYED. Comedy, girlpower, I was all here for it. I think this was actually the first movie I’ve seen with Tabu starring, so I’ll have to go back and watch more of her films now. Kriti Sanon is having a moment this year so far, this is my second film I’ve seen of hers in theaters this year. Kareena slayed as always.
Slay #3: Target Clearance Easter Candy
I got that bag ^ for $1.49 at Target. What a blessing. I’m sure the candy will last a while so I stocked up, and so should you. All of their Easter candy is 70% off right now.
Slay #4: Costco Cheese Pizza
It’s a good thing the photo is cropped as a rectangle because the bottom of the slice was gone by the time I took a photo of it (what? I was hungry!). I was craving a slice of Costco cheese pizza all weekend and finally treated myself today. So worth it and so cheap. My stomach did not feel its most energized and happy afterwards, but my soul was nourished.
Slay #5: The iPhone Camera Info Section
This is so useful. For the photo above, if you click “Look Up Laundry Care”, you can find what each of the symbols mean based on the laundry tag photographed. This saved me from having to Google search a laundry symbol chart and painstakingly compare each symbol to its chart image/description. iPhone does this for all kinds of random things, not just laundry care. I noticed it can identify some kinds of dog breeds (although usually it just says “Dog”… thanks Siri).
Toodles! Til next week XOXO.
